Company: Charah, Inc., provider of coal combustion product management and power plant support services
Date: April 18, 2017
Purpose: Team building & general fun times as part of their company training
Last Tuesday night, BIK had the pleasure of hosting yet another outstanding corporate event with Charah, Inc. The moment their group arrived we were made aware of their competitive spirit as they had already split into two teams: Management vs. Employees.
As the Charah crew registered, they grazed their way through an appetizer buffet and open bar (courtesy of Lady Fingers Catering). After their safety briefing, the teams headed to the track for both their practice and qualifier races. After these two sessions, the top racers from each team competed in the final race for ultimate bragging rights. The race was a close finish, but here at BIK we always have to crown our champ. However, we soon found out that the top three finishers of the final heat weren’t the only ones who would be leaving with an award; Charah presented a turtle canvas to their slowest driver of the evening, and she claimed it on the podium with confidence!
Once the racing portion of the evening was complete, the group headed back to eat a hot dinner buffet and continued to enjoy the open bar along with a bit of karaoke!
Charah’s Jeremy Sochol’s worked with us to plan the event and left us some great feedback: “Thanks for hosting and coordinating our event. The speed and managing the movement of all our teams was impressive. You and your team did a great job and everyone from Charah had a great time. They were still talking about Ben’s last minute win at dinner yesterday. For me, I need to work on my times. Also, compliments on the catering. The food was delicious. Meatballs were a big hit. It wasn’t until 9:50 that we finally got the Karaoke going…although that was mostly with some of your guys. Good group.“
We think your next event will enjoy the same success so contact us anytime to begin planning.
